This is the back cover text for: The Eferian Dawn volume one: Together We Once Held Up Heaven and Sky.
Fed up with the destructive powers against their lives: the people of Eferian sparked uprising towards any connection with the magical abilities—known to them as Haan—said to be the source of the continued continental war.
Evel-Rin, with his assistant Aegrin-Ogal, aid an ostracised woman inflicted with a disease of unknown origins believed by Evel-Rin to have connections with the Haan powers. In fear of the townspeople’s retaliation against her presence, they travel to the north-west lands where Haan is still practiced publicly. All to find a cure for her illness.
Within the western regions of the continent: Eder Thornton, Second-in-Command of Defence for The Sun Army, finds herself standing in the forefront of a potential invasion from the neighbouring lands of Tailen going towards the empire’s capital.
And within the north-west: Aerona-Nari of the Hindrell Heritage becomes the target of an angered city mob blaming Haan spellcasters of murder during a workhouse strike turned violent. Seeking to escape, she finds herself amid a smugglers’ bandwagon transporting magical item counterfeits across lands towards the largest Haan school in the continent, The Sunset River. Seeing a way for her to get there, she joins them for a chance to reach the school.
But what they don’t know is a new dawn for Eferian, has risen.
