Any type of reach-out email or DM on Social Media platforms from people with the intention to collaborate, advertise services to me or people who have other forms of work-related inquiries such as agents and headhunters will be instantly blocked and dismissed. Regardless of who it is or what the offer is. “The Eferian Day” is a passion project and will stay within 100% of my own control with no external influence of any kind.
Links and/or attachments sent through emails are never opened and might result in the email being blocked or reported.
To minimize phishing emails and scams: links and/or attachments are not normally sent by emails from theeferianday@gmail.com. If you are in any way suspicious of an email sent to you by this email address or what appears to be this email address: do not open it!
If you have suspicions that a link featured within a sent-out email, please copy the link within the email and pasted it into one or several of the following websites:
whatsmydns.net: “What’s my DNS” is an online tool checking the registered IP address/IP addresses and county location of the provided link. This is done through “The Domain Name System (DNS)” which is a service providing a structured information system, like Internet Protocols (the IP address) computers use to communicate with each other.
urlscan.io: This service checks the website of the provided link and compiles information about said website. This online tool can be helpful to see the website’s validations and structure to determine whether the link is legit or not.
urlvoid.com: This website checks the provided link for malicious activities by analysing the domain name and registered IP address/IP addresses with cybersecurity watchlists.
ipvoid.com: If the link has been shortened, pasting it into this website gives the full URL of the provided link. ![]()
Simple ways to keep yourself safe include:
Double checking the email address: Line up the address of the sent email to the one given out on this page. Always double check to see if the spelling of the sent email correlates with the email address of this website. Minuscule detailing is important, such as the usage of two ”e” letters next to each other.
Start a seconded conversation: If you suspect the sent email isn’t from me, start a new email conversation using the address given on this page so you can gain confirmation the address is correct.
URL Shorteners: links and/or attachments are not normally sent by email from theeferianday@gmail.com. On top of this, URL shorteners are never officially used by V. C. Wahlström or vcwahlstrom.com. This is done to decrease the risk of phishing URLs within sent emails masquerading as an official email from theeferianday@gmail.com. If the sent email contains a URL which has been shortened using services such as bit.ly or t.ly: never open it!
Check the email to be valid: phishing scams will manipulate the sent email in varies ways. Check if the DKIM of the sent email is valid or if the authentication of the DKIM has been tampered with.
